Position: Executive Chef/Food & Beverage Director

The Northern Hotel, Billings’ premier full service business and convention hotel seeks an Executive Chef. The Northern Hotel is a newly renovated four star property that re-opened in March of 2013 offering the finest product in the state of Montana. We offer 160 guest rooms and suites, along with 12,000 square feet of meeting space, two restaurants, a lounge, room service, gym and retail space. Amenities include state of the art technological offerings in the hotel, along with the levels of service that the discerning business/ social traveler has come to expect.

 

Food and beverage offerings include Bernie’s Diner, a quick service outlet which seats eighty guests. In addition, TEN offers a lounge and exquisitely decorated dining room seating 180. Each restaurant is serviced by its own kitchen. Production and finishing kitchens fulfill the demand from the convention area. Finally, 24 hour room service will be served by its own dispatch and serving area. All kitchens have been designed by the region’s leading design and architectural firms.

 

We are seeking a Chef/F & B Dir. with several years’ experience in Kitchen Management/Executive in all areas including, but not limited to menu and restaurant development, fine-dining, high volume production for banquets and restaurants, costing, budgeting and staff management. They will be able to show a level of imagination and light-hearted fun in the menu development. This will be a highly visible position, as the Billings, Montana food and dining scene is driven in a large part by the personality of the people staffing the restaurants. The chef will lead this effort from the front, and will be required to set the example through public contact, and hands on supervision.
